The Red House shortlisted for two awards at School Travel Organiser Awards 2019
We are delighted to announce that The Red House have been shortlisted for two awards at the 2019 School Travel Organiser Awards.
The Red House education team has been shortlisted as a finalist for the Education Team of the Year Award. This award aims to celebrate an education/learning team whose collective inspiration has led to fantastic provision and great support, as well as excellent outcomes for school groups. Nominations have been made by teachers, governors, parents and pupils, which make the shortlisting even more pleasing. School sessions at The Red House have been extremely popular and the success is due to the team that includes the learning and archive team as well as dedicated learning volunteers. The other finalists for this category include Go Ape’s Education Events Team, LEGOLAND Windsor Education Team and Learning and Participation team at Shakespeare’s Birthplace Trust. More details of the finalists can be found here.
The second award we have been shortlisted for is the Best Education Workshop. We have developed a range of workshops at The Red House that engage children with Britten, music and other areas of the National Curriculum. Working with teachers and education advisers we have developed sessions to reach all areas of the National Curriculum, such as, Musical Mini-beasts, Murder in the Orchestra and Science of Sound. We are delighted that schools find these sessions so rewarding for their pupils.
The winner of the awards will be announced at The School Travel Awards at the Royal Garden Hotel, Kensington, on Friday 15th November, 2019.
