We are following the latest guidance and information about the COVID-19 virus from Public Health England and the UK Government. Based on the latest advice, The Red House will open to the public on Saturday 4 July.
In the meantime, The Red House team are available during weekday office hours and can be contacted by emailing [email protected]. Archive enquiries will continue as normal but visits to the Reading Room are not yet possible. To make an enquiry visit the research enquiries page.
We advise all our visitors to keep up-to-date with the latest guidance and medical information in order to minimise the risk of the virus spreading. We hope that your visit to our website and following our social media channels will offer a diversion in these exceptional times.
We are planning to visit Aldeburgh on week commencing 12 July. Do we need to book to visit?
Thank you for your message and we are glad to hear that you are planning on visiting us soon. We don’t have an online booking facility in place as we are confident that we will be able to manage visitors on the site. But we will be keeping a close eye on this and we will make the appropriate changes. You will be able to book your admission ticket on arrival. We have put together a film on what to expect from your visit which you can view here: https://brittenpears.org/visit/. But to be safe I would recommend that you check the visit pages again on the 10 July in case there are any changes.
