Archive exhibition: Tippett & Britten
Friday 7 June at 11:00 am - Friday 14 June at 4:00 pm
The Archive at The Red House holds the working materials of Britten’s composition process – the draft scores and libretti, costume and set designs – as well as thousands of letters, valuable books and artworks, posters, programmes and ephemera. During the Aldeburgh Festival the Archive will house an exhibition drawing from this rich collection. Its focus in the first week will complement and expand on this year’s main exhibition on Tippett and Britten, and the two composers’ long relationship.
