A guide to the British music scene between the two World Wars

Meet the patrons, socialites and ‘movers and shakers’ who gave British music a new platform between the wars. Explore how music from the establishment through to the avant-garde found its way to audiences, often with great difficulty, how Britten’s early works received their first performances, and how women’s paths varied from those of their male contemporaries. Hosted by mezzo-soprano Diana Moore, who will conclude the afternoon with a recital of music from the period at 5pm. With pianist John Reid.

Tickets: £20
