Scratch Choir: American greats

This session will focus on music by Leonard Bernstein as part of his centenary celebrations this year. Led by conductor Ben Vonberg-Clark, it will be a fun-filled day of learning a choral medley from his musical West Side Story which will be performed in Britten’s Library. The ability to read music is recommended and please bring a pencil and packed lunch.

Scratch Choir: Living in America

The third Scratch Choir session of the year will focus on works by Britten and Igor Stravinsky – both of whom lived in America. Led by conductor Ben Vonberg-Clark, it will be a fun-filled day of learning a series of works which will be performed in Britten’s Library. The ability to read music is recommended and please bring a pencil and packed lunch.

Scratch Choir: A Ceremony of Carols

The final Scratch Choir of the year will be of Britten’s festive A Ceremony of Carols. Led by conductor Ben Vonberg-Clark, it will be a fun-filled day of learning followed by a performance in Britten’s Library accompanied by harp. The ability to read music is recommended and please bring a pencil and packed lunch.
