Scratch Choir: Spirituals by women composers

The first Scratch Choir of the year will focus on women composers to coincide with the centenary of women getting the vote. Led by conductor Ben Vonberg-Clark, it will be a fun-filled day of learning a series of works which will be performed in Britten’s Library. The ability to read music is recommended and please bring a pencil and packed lunch.

Scratch Choir: American greats

This session will focus on music by American composers: Leonard Bernstein and Aaron Copland. Led by conductor Ben Vonberg-Clark, it will be a fun-filled day of learning a series of works which will be performed in Britten’s Library. The ability to read music is recommended and please bring a pencil and packed lunch.

Scratch Choir: Living in America

The third Scratch Choir session of the year will focus on works by Britten and Igor Stravinsky – both of whom lived in America. Led by conductor Ben Vonberg-Clark, it will be a fun-filled day of learning a series of works which will be performed in Britten’s Library. The ability to read music is recommended and please bring a pencil and packed lunch.

Scratch Choir: A Ceremony of Carols

The final Scratch Choir of the year will be of Britten’s festive A Ceremony of Carols. Led by conductor Ben Vonberg-Clark, it will be a fun-filled day of learning followed by a performance in Britten’s Library accompanied by harp. The ability to read music is recommended and please bring a pencil and packed lunch.
