30 fun ways to discover Aldeburgh's heritage
In partnership with Aldeburgh Museum and funding from Historic England we have created 30 fun, family-friendly activity sheets for the school summer holidays. Running every week until Monday 19 October we will release two worksheets every monday highlighting Aldeburgh’s wonderful heritage drawn from the collections at Aldeburgh Museum and The Red House. Suitable for ages 5-12 or older as anyone can have a go! Click the links below to download.
It is also possible to get an Arts Award Discover qualification. You can do one or as many worksheets as you like and then download, complete and return this form.

Week 2 (20 July): Make a salt dough pot and bird mask
Week 3 (27 July): Make a leaf embroidery and a wooden spoon puppet
Week 4 (3 August): Walk along the river wall and make a tennis racket
Week 5 (10 August): Make an icecream out of playdough and make a watering hole and bee journal
Week 6 (17 August): Make a dog sock puppet and treasure map
Week 7 (24 August): Make a shadow puppet theatre and how to start a collection of your own
Week 8 (1 September): Make a squishy cheese and write a poem
Week 9 (7 September): Make a smugglers lantern and origami boat
Week 10 (14 September): Make a cardboard creature and some ship’s biscuits
