Ever since the 1946 schools film Instruments of the Orchestra generations of children have been inspired by Britten’s much-loved classic, The Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra.

These films were part of the Foundation’s Digital GO project for Britten’s centenary in 2013 and was in partnership with the Royal Northern College of Music and supported using public funding from the National Lottery through Arts Council England.
