In April 2016 the Britten-Pears Foundation gave a grant to Slaughden Sailing Club towards the refurbishment of their training facilities. On Saturday 11 November, Amanda Arnold, the Foundation’s grants manager, joined members of the Sailing Club to celebrate the progress of the refurbishment. Whilst not yet quite complete Amanda was shown around the extended changing facilities, the improved area for monitoring the activities on the water (and providing a lovely view on the day) and the installation of a screen which enables the provision of a separate training area.
